Sanjay Leela Bhansali is back with yet another principal character from Indian history — Queen Padmavati. The story revolves around the beauteous Queen and the villain Allaudin Khilji who tries to forcibly usurp Padmavati from her husband Raja Ratan Singh.
Deepika Padukone plays Padmavati while Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor play Khilji and Ratan Singh respectively. The movie which is currently being shot will be a visual extravaganza and one of the costliest ever to be produced in Bollywood.

Ever since Padmavati has been announced, there have been a lot of rumours about the cast and film's release date. While Deepika Padukone will play the titular role, Ranveer Singh has been roped in for Allauddin Khilji's character in the film. Shahid Kapoor is also onboard and will be seen as Deepika's husband Rawal Ratan Singh.
The release date of the film has now been confirmed and a trade analyst also took to Twitter to reveal the details. The tweet says, "Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali finalize release date of #Padmavati: 17 Nov 2017... Stars Ranveer, Deepika and Shahid."
